Starting from investigating the works of a contemporary Chinese artist Zhan Wang and the typology of museum buildings, the project tried to study how the architectural design will make impact on the usage of museum space and the experience perceived by the visitors. At the same time, the design tried to provide suitable environment for art display within an industrial neighborhood in which noise problems was a big issue. The final museum design retained most of the initial concepts including linked outdoor courtyards, defensive walls at boundary, regular temporary gallery space and irregular permanent gallery space.
