Thomas was born and raised in Hong Kong. After graduating from Master of Architecture at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Thomas has been practicing in Hong Kong for architectural design and research projects in Hong Kong, Macau and China. Recognized in the field of architectural design, Thomas is the winner of the 2016 RIBA President’s Silver Medal for his thesis project “Crafts Vault ‒ The V&A Academy of Artisanal Crafts”, which introduces a new typology of museum building that would make artisanal skills relevant again in modern society.

Thomas’s current main interests are on architectural design in relation to city transformation, cultural inheritance and sustainable development.
